As promised, I wanted to give this handsome dragon his own post! This is the last surprise to the holiday offers this year. One “Dragon Saga” cast is now listed for a custom paint!
This is cast #3, or “Spitfire” as I’ve been calling him, (those bullish horns make me think he’s a stubborn dragon, haha). Long story short, cast #2 is my current focus, so I have not come up with any solid color ideas for Spitfire yet. You all have incredible dragon designs, and might even be inspired by his sculpt so far, so I thought I’d put the offer out there to see if someone has a color idea before I do! If not, it’s not a biggie. Once #2 is finished, if this one is still in waiting, I’ll have a blast coming up with a color scheme for him.
Until then? If you have a dragon character that you’d love as a real life sculpture, or if you have some awesome color ideas for this series of casts, I want to hear from you because he could be all yours!
*Listing is here with the info for commissioning a custom Dragon Saga paint!

Details are of course in the listing, but a few more interesting details for those just viewing here:
-He’s categorized as figurine for my purposes, but this cast is one of the largest I’ve done. This particular one measured about 9.5 in long, by 9.5 in tall, with around a 17 in wingspan - so big dragon. If you’ve collected my previous sculptures he’s gonna dwarf them!
-He’s also limited edition, 10 casts total made, only 9 will be released. This offer is for cast #3.
-With casts #2-3, inspired by the people who modify resin horses, I wanted to see how far I could push modifying the base sculpture. Not just different horns, but reposing the legs & head. This one focuses on re-posing the back legs to be “earthier” or “bullish”, more of a strong stance. So these are not only limited edition, but they really are OOAK and unique, even between the same base model.
-Since I have a feeling someone is going to ask, this one can NOT be modified at the sculpture level anymore. I do eventually plan on releasing one geared more towards matching specific characters, or building your own dragon. These are labor intensive to put together, (the paint job alone on the first cast was 40+ hours, whew!), so I have to take finishing these off in smaller chunks, that level of custom is going to be further out. If you spread the word about this one, and if this one is successful, I may be more motivated to release another one sooner!
If anyone is interested, I’ll be looking forward to finishing this dragon creation with you!
