Hi! I’m Yang, a Chinese-Canadian-American paper artist based in California. I create one-of-a-kind botanical sculptures that sit somewhere between dreams and reality. Inspired by the natural world, traditional Chinese ink paintings, and watercolors, my artworks are crafted with care and attention to detail. Using different weights, colors, and vintages of paper, I build each piece over a wire, cotton, or papier-mâché frame, cutting paper freehand to achieve an organic feel.
